1. What are your operating hours?

ETC Academy operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We understand that parents have busy schedules, so we offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times within these hours.

2. What ages do you accept at ETC Academy?

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our programs are designed to cater to the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We also offer before and after school care.

3. What is the child-to-caregiver ratio?

At ETC Academy, we maintain a low child-to-caregiver ratio to ensure personalized attention and care for each child. Our typical ratio is 1:5 for infants and toddlers and preschoolers.

4. How do you handle allergies and dietary restrictions?

We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. During the enrollment process, we’ll discuss your child’s specific needs and work with you to ensure their safety. We provide nutritious meals and snacks, and we are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements.

5. What is your curriculum like?

Our curriculum is centered around learning through play. We incorporate a mix of structured activities and free play to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Activities include arts and crafts, music and movement, outdoor play, and early literacy and math concepts.

6. What safety measures are in place at ETC Academy?

Safety is our top priority. Our daycare is fully childproofed, with secure entryways and a fenced outdoor play area. All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified. We also conduct regular safety drills and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

7. How do you communicate with parents?

We believe in open communication with parents. We provide daily updates through a secure parent portal where you can see photos, notes, and reports on your child’s day. We’re also available via phone, email, or in-person meetings to discuss any concerns or updates.

8. What is the enrollment process?

10. What is your sick policy?

To ensure the health and safety of all children, we ask that parents keep their child at home if they are showing signs of illness, such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious conditions. Children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to daycare. We have a detailed sick policy that will be provided during enrollment.

11. How do you handle discipline?

Our approach to discipline is positive and constructive. We focus on teaching children about appropriate behavior through redirection, positive reinforcement, and gentle guidance. Our goal is to help children develop self-control and respect for others in a supportive environment.

12. Is there a waiting list?

Due to our limited capacity and high demand, we may have a waiting list for certain age groups. We encourage parents to reach out early to secure a spot or be placed on our waiting list.

13. Can I visit my child during the day?

Yes, we have an open-door policy for parents. You are welcome to visit your child at any time during the day. We just ask that you let us know in advance to ensure it’s a good time based on our daily schedule.

14. What should my child bring to daycare?

We’ll provide you with a list of items your child will need, such as a change of clothes, diapers (if applicable), a blanket for nap time, and any comfort items like a favorite toy or pacifier. We’ll also provide any necessary forms during enrollment.

15. How do you handle emergencies?

In the event of an emergency, our staff is trained to follow a strict protocol. We’ll contact parents immediately, and if necessary, we’ll take the child to the nearest medical facility. All emergency contact information is kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
